American Idol

It’s been a tough week for American Idol contestants with type I diabetes.

 

American Idol alumni Elliot Yamin is a type I diabetic and supporter of the JDRF.  Earlier this week he found himself stuck in Chile after the earthquake and he was running out of supplies for his insulin pump.  more here

 

The Idol schedule was rearranged last minute this week when contestant Crystal Bowersox was unable to perform due to medical issues.  The details are being kept pretty quite but sources say that she was suffering from complications from type I diabetes.
